Could this be one of the most beautiful prewar cars in existence? Ever since I saw the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Flying Star by Touring at Hampton Court Concours in 2015 I knew that one day I would have to paint it. As the car is all white I needed to create a background that would not compromise the Alfa’s flowing elegance.

The Salt Flats at Bonneville came to mind with its deep blue skies and white expanse of lightly encrusted salt crystals. In the end I softened the depth of the sky which helped to limit the colour palette and create a very dream like effect where the car is very much the focal point of the image.
