This is the standard issue livery for the Martini Porsche 917LH but it is no less remarkable than the Hippie car. The Martini colours are unmistakeable but the ease with which they flow across the 917 LH’s sumptuous curves suggest they were always going to be natural partners.
I spent several hours drawing, then re-drawing these curves until I was absolutely sure they were a perfect representation of the originals. The detail is all there right down to the tiny spark plug on the Bosch logo, best seen on the larger print.
