I first saw this imposing machine at Hampton Court Concours and just knew I had to paint it. The sheer size and grandeur of this car with its exaggerated low roofline screams power.
This extravagant design sums up the carefree early thirties and what better setting than on the Devonshire Beach of Bigbury-on-Sea overlooked by the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel. The lady about to party is suitably attired in period costume and sports a hairstyle which echoes the cropped top of her carriage.
